why do you think they should only charge the price that "they should charge?" the 71.00 is the suggested retail price. as long as they don't have a monopoly on parts, i don't see anything wrong with trying to get a better price. if you believe that you are being overcharged, say something to them. if they don't care, go elsewhere. maybe you weren't getting 10-15% off suggested retail but you still were getting 10-15% off the going price, thereby saving money. i don't understand why everyone thinks dealers owe them something. did you offer them anything in return for a discount?
for the record, i don't work for a motorcycle dealer. i don't even work in the motorcycle industry.
