YEEHAA!!!!! Cr number 11 is a doosie but I bought it used with no book. Any one willing to take a chance and tell me the oil capacities/type for one of these humm dingers is? I don't wanna trigger some copyright suit or nuttin but I'm broke and need data. Thank ye kindly fellers. I mean that too you Knobbyheads.

Recommended capacities are;
Engine oil with filter change .73 quart.
Engine oil without filter change .70 qt.
Gearbox. .62 qt.
I use 10W/40 Mobil 1 in both engine and gearbox. So far so good.
Many people run their engine oil clear to the top of the sight glass. Since they don't hold much oil, every little bit helps.

I use the metal screen Scotts filter and I clean it and change the oil
every two-four hours riding. About 3/4 quart of Yamalube 4 (yeah,
I know, but I used to have the YZF and I bought a full case).
On the gearbox side, I *measure* 600cc of Belray 80wt gear oil
and get it all in there.
So far, zero problems. ('03 CRF)
