Well finally made up my mind and my wife and I are going to head down to watch Darcy Lange take it to the lites class

Who else is heading down to check it out? Never been to Indy, started looking online for hotels, trying to keep it reasonable and found some Days Inn etc on the Northwest side of Indy, will I need a gun? Are there neighborhoods to avoid? Parking around the dome? Give me all the pertinent info you can think of related to Indy, not to atttending a SX as I've been to plenty.

Doug - We always park a couple of blocks down the street from the Dome when we go to the dealer show. It's an indoor lot for the water park and always has open space, plus it's a bit cheaper as a bonus. I'll get the exact location for you.

Where will be the designated meeting area,gate1? I have not found the time for timed practice, yet. There is a LL qualifier at Wildcat creek, lafayette, and rain in the forecast, might leave from there. Come on sat!

Here it is for the rest of you...

http://home.quickinet.net/IndySX/index2.htm

The bottom image shows the walkways you can use to get from the Circle Center Mall parking garage to the Convention Center without having to go out on the street. You will have to go out of the front of the Convention Center to get to the Dome though.. I think you get to the walkway from the 2nd floor of the parking garage.

If anyone else needs info on Indy for the SX, feel free to PM me on it..

do you have the time schedule for the order of races/ qualifying?

I don't, but the schedule for this race is the same as all of the other SX races..

I think the opening ceremonies start around 7 or 7:30pm.

After 8 years I figured out the parking. On the South side of the dome park for 5 bucks in the open air parking lot. Drive clear to the back, farthest away from the dome near the locked exit gates. When the race is over a brisk walk to your transportation, the once locked gates will now be open!!!! most will try to exit out the front the same way they entered ,in a huge traffic jam. I was on the freeway US 70 in under 4 minutes the last 3 years. And probably back in Ohio before everyone cleared the lot!!!! Just dont share this with to many people or my escape will be hampered!!!!!!!!
