Inspecting XR400

Ive decided my 03 RM250 just doesnt cut it as a trail bike when riding with my kids on their XR50 and 70 so Ive decided to get a used XR400. Im going to be looking at it today so any help would be appreciated. Its a 1996 model. Anything special I should be looking for?

Nevermind.... it was a piece of junk. The rear shock was rubbing on the linkage, it needed new brake pads front and rear, rear sprocket was toast, plastic was gouged and scratched everywhere, one of the allen screws on the head had bunch of oil around it and the air filter was filthy. I decided to pass eventhough it was a decent price. Decent for a bike in good shape.
