A friend of mine went to Loretta Lynn's this year & said he was 18 seconds ahead of the 2nd place rider by the 2nd lap.:scream: You think Mike Brown can blast through a corner at speed? I've heard JBS is better.

I actually saw him last night for the 1st time when my Terrafirma 7 video came in.:cool: He looked good, but it was just on his home practice track. It also showed him go down painfully in the whoops.

Also, why was he not at the US Open? I thought he was to be there?

Come on, give it up.

Bubba didn't do the US Open because there was nothing there for him and getting hurt would impact his season. The Open is a one time deal, sure maybe you make some money or maybe you hose your season.

I expect Bubba to put the fear in a lot of 250 riders hoping they will be retired before he moves up! I think RC is going to have some serious problems with Bubba and Travis in the not to distant future.

I have seen him ride quite a few times at Amatuer nationals - in 2000 at the GNC national at Mosier Valley, TX, his lap times were just off of Bobby Bonds times and James was on a super-mini and Bonds on a 125 in the pro class. No one else had better times than James or Bobby....

I've also seen him at Mosier Valley quite a few times. I predict he will be the National 125 champion in 2003.

We have alot of great talent heading up in the ranks here in the US. The Next few years are going to be interesting with kids like Helper,Milsaps,Lawerance,the Alessi's etc.

I saw him at the Kawasaki Race of Champions at Englishtown and he absolutely embarassed the rest of the field. He's so smooth and I don't think he made one mistake in either moto.

To be honest, if you have seen Terrafirma 7, he doesn't look all that confident to me. Maybe it was just the cut, or just me.

RC's speed seems to come from his "staunchly" set bike, close to the ground, his "low" riding style (I mean skipping over the top of the whoops & keeping it horizontal in the jumps) & tremendous amount of time on the ground. I see Bubba as smooth as snot, but he seems to do a lot of airtime. However, if you watch him in slow mo, he seems to keep his rear wheel down a LOT, which of course matters.

Anyhow--I've got to say I'm a pro football, college basketball fan fiend, & it doesn't compare to what's happening in SX & MX these days. Once this thing gets recognized for what it is, including all its drama and personalities, it will be very successful. I can't wait for this year's SX season.

I've seen him race at Loretta Lynn's in '99 and '00. Absolutely awesome to watch him ride!! This kid has some serious natural talent and speed - especially in the corners. Hopefully I might get to watch him race at the Mini O's in Florida next week - but with the SX season right around the corner... I kinda doubt it - but ya never know!

Also - we already have our Indy SX tickets - Bubba's first 125 East SX race - I can't wait! How do you guys think he will stack up in his very first race? If he gets a semi-decent start and doesn't go down - I'm guessing top 5 and a good chance at the podium. Wow - wouldn't that be something if he wins in his first shot at the big show? I think he definately has the potential to do it - but not sure if he has enough SX experience yet... training on SX tracks for the past 1-2 years may not be quite the same as the real thing.
