hi
ive read alot of posts on jetting and i am wondering what the best jet size is for my conditions. its a 92 kdx 250 and its all stock i have read about doing the airbox mod to the lid and i dont have an after market pipe. if i do the mod to the top of the airbox what main jet should i go for? will i need to adjust clip position? if i then do and fmf pipe what jet should i go to?

thanks alot, wicked forum

A lot depends on the temperature/altitude where you are living.
A 250 is a great bike stock, but could do with more low end boost. Recommend that you change the stock pipes and reeds. The bike will run rich with the stock jetting.

This dude's site answers your questions:http://www.garage.whatburns.com/KDX2.htm

I change my jetting with the cold and warm weathers.

Experiment with the jettting and needle position yourself and see how it goes.

Main and pilot jets are cheap. Good fun getting the carb dialed in right.

I have a standard pipe, PC muffler, Boysen Reeds, a well jetted carb, and the bike moves.

Would like to change the pipe, but saving for an ZR650R.

Peace
