Jetting question with elevation changes...

In in Northern California, my jetting is perfect for 2,000 - 4,000. Well, good enough for me anyway...I'm going to Pismo, time to tackle the sand. What will going to Sea Level do to my jetting? I thought it would lean it out, but a friend who just went told me his jetting didn't require any changes...how can that be? I thought about running race fuel, maybe running the main jet a size higher, is that the smart thing to do?

What is you current main jet? If you are not lean at all on top, bump it two sizes at a minimum. In sand you will be in/on the main most of the time! Much better to err on the rich side in sand.

Yes, it will lean it out a bit. I don't know what your current jetting is but you may want to increase your main one or two depending on where you're at now. Sand is a big power robber so you'll likely be on the main most of the time.
