I own a 1999 yz 125. When I bought it and got it home I went on a short ride. When i got back i found out it had a dry air filter. :bang: I took off the airbox and everything and cleaned it. Luckily there was no dirt that got through. I put it all back together and put a ready filter on it. I went on another short ride and noticed it had lost the really crisp power it had the ride before. It also seems to kind of stutter when I get into the power band. Could it be possible the bike was jetted with a dry filter and now with the oiled one it has changed something?
Any help would be appreciated.

you may have too much oil and it could be sucking through the carburator and going into the motor. if you just went on a 'short ride' it wouldnt have all cleared. take the filter out and wring it out.
