I just bought a 97 JR 50 and am in the process of replacing the tube in the rear tire. The new tube came with a beveled washer and two nuts on the valve stem. The old one did not have this, so I need to know how they are installed when replacing the tube. Does the beveled washer and nut go inside the rim and the second nut attach to the outside of the rim?

I always leave one nut on the stem inside the rim. The nut on the outside should not be tightened. If you tighten it, if/when the tire slips on the rim, it will rip the valve stem out of the tire. With the outer nut loose, the valve stem will bend to front or back and you can notice, let the air out of the tire, and reposition before it rips the valve stem out of the tube.
