Ok this sounds like a silly request but atm I just can't afford to do my full bike test and I am skint. So was thinking of getting my kdx200 on the road so I can get around my local area cheaply - I live in the sticks in mid wales so would be handly.
So what's the easiest / cheapest way of getting the bike down to a 125 so I can ride it on a CBT.
do the test on someone's 125, then go to riding your KDX when all is done, I guess.
Whether you drop a jug from a similarly vintage Kawasaki 125 or not, how will they know that's what you've done unless you do a teardown? On that same point, how will they know you *didn't* do that, without you changing a thing?
I don't know Welsh law, so I'm not sure how much trouble you're going to get in.
a few years ago I wouldn't have hesitated but i'm getting older - more legit and my license is worth too much to me.
I'd probabily be fine as there's loads of crossers round here, although the L plate on a 200 might draw more attention if the old bill know a bit about bikes. And they are very bored round here!
I'd probabily be better off driving it competely illegal tbh, lol

well i know they make a kit for the 4-stroke bikes that make the bike get less horse power by using less air/fuel and prevent from full throttle, i red about this guy that did it to a cbr 600 so he could drive it. But i dont under stand why you have to do that? i have been driving a 95 CBR 600 F3 since i was 16.... of course i live in america though. I guess you could try de-tuning it by plugging up the air box, putting smaller jets, etc.
dose any one know where i can get a fly wheel for my 1984 kdx200 the one i have is mest up but it has 4 maggnets if any one can help that wouled be good thanks
