Hi all... Just purchased a new water pump seal for my kdx 220 from Kawasaki dealer, first thing is the new one is different from the old one (see pics), new one being semi incased in a metal case & with a metal shim inside thpart of the rubber (the old one metal free inside). I am lineing the seal with the splin on the water pump rod but can't seem to get the seal on enough to get the propellor in place & bolted up. Does anyone know if i have been given the wrong seal or is this normal & hard to get on.
