Can the crankcase seals be replaced without splitting the crankcases?? The exhaust is emitting considerable white smoke so presumably a seal has failed...any ideas?? :(
I second Sr5. Not much chance of getting coolant into the combustion chamber via the crank seals. Head gasket is much more likely. If you think the crank seals are leaking, pull the stator cover and look for gas/oil mix behind there. That'll give you a good idea.
I'll check out the suggestions...I'm using light gearbox oil. The carburation is also a out. When the engine has been revving and the throttle is then closed the engine doesn't go to tick over straight away but revs high for a time then slows down..maybe an air leak, any ideas?
