I am looking to switch forks/ front brakes on my 91 KDX. DO the 95 or newer brakes fit on the older forks?
Do the newer rotors bolt up to the older wheels?
What other Kawasaki models use simialar brakes to the 95 or newer brakes?
Is it easier to put the whole front end off a newer bike?
Lots of questions. Thanks, Kevin

I have converted my ‘91 for a twin nissin calliper from a Honda. I got a new mounting plate roughed out (based on the old plate but extended) & took the sliding pins from the old plate (which conveniently screw out).

With a bit of careful eyeballing a decent position was found to mount the calliper out of the way. Job done.

Do the spring mods (check other threads) & they aren't too bad.

Thanks for the info, I was hoping that the newer KDX brakes swapped right in. I upgraded my old Gamma brakes to GSXR brakes, and the mounts were the same. I dont think the forks on the newer bikes are a whole bunch better, but I know the brakes are much improved.
