I can see that a bulk of the riding is spent on the track. I am contemplating an upgrade on my KDX from .38 springs to a stiffer units. Most of the west coast style off road gp's incorporate an MX course and I am afraid the current spring rates may not offer sufficient dampening from the jumps. What is the rate on the shock spring?

Do you mean "shock" spring or "stock" fork spring? I think the RaceTech site lists the stock KDX200 fork spring at 0.35kg/mm.

KDXFreestyle, that's a low number on your plate...do you race in the pro class? Do you ride more MX or trails? I'm asking because I'm getting interested in MX and I was wondering how well the KDX will behave out there...

Stock rear shock is a 5.0. Mine is a 5.2. My front forks at 4.2's I believe. I havent touched my valves or anything. I just have the clickers almost all the way on Hard in the forks. For the rear, I jus thave the compression and rebound the way I like it. I am also running a 15 tooth front sprocket.

I am an OK rider. I am right directly in the middle for overall points. 32/64 or something like that.

The reason I have a low number is because when you sign up at the beginning of the year, it is first come first serve.

I rode my first real MX track two weekends ago...it was an intermediate level track and I had a blast!

I'm not a good enough rider (yet) to get big air off a jump, so no bottomed suspension (yet). It was a lot of fun opening it up on that track...a nice change of pace from long uphill/downhill rocky sections and single track.

KDXFreestyle, how did your bike hold up against the 4-strokes?

I got some new pics form about a week or 2 ago. I am doing so much better now and I was freeking haulign ass that dau. ig ot something like 6th into the first corner out of like 24 or 26. Then placed 11th overall.
