hi, I was thinking about getting a stearing stabilier for my 2004 kdx 220 but I did the fork swap. I have 2001 kx 125 forks on it. So my Question is which kit do I buy 04 kdx or 01 kx?

Thanks Tim

I have a WER on my 220. It does make a noticable difference in handling & can be had 2nd hand for a good price. I picked mine up, 2nd hand, rebuilt for $125 with the bracket. Even with the KX Front End, it bolted right up.

I have a Scott steering stabilizer on my 250 RMX and a WER for my KDX200, which has 2003 KX forks. For the money the WER is the better deal. Scotts is higher quality and more adjustable but either well make a big difference compared to not having one.

You need to order the mounting kit for the top triple clamp that used for your conversion to the KX forks. Like foots said a call to Scotts should help.

I love my Scotts

W.E.R. vs. Scotts - cost comparison

I've been looking at both the Scotts and the W.E.R. unit and keep seeing people commenting that the Scotts unit is much more costly. While it's more expensive, I'm seeing the Scott bolt on kit running around $405 - $410 USD. (This is assuming you don't have to upgrade to a non-crossbar handlebar). The W.E.R. units I'm seeing are in the $345 range w/o the headlight kit, but I have not done an in-depth price search yet to find out the lowest W.E.R. price. (Scotts' website is $450 vs. $399 for the W.E.R) While the $60 dollar difference is not to be taken likely lightly, it's seems to me that the cost difference shouldn't be the final factor when you're spending $400. What am I missing? Is there a cheap source for the W.E.R. unit that I haven't found yet?
