KDX wheel compatibility 96-07 work on 89?

Will a KDX 96-07 wheel fit on an 89 KDX 200? I'm looking for an extra set of wheels for my 89 KDX 200 to throw some road tires on and I found a set on e-**y for a KDX but it says it will fit 96-07. Were any critical changes made from 89' to 96' that would affect the wheel fitting? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might have to switch to H series axle as well but I think you should be able to make it work.
