KDX with Moose Racing voltage regulator problem

I do not have the kdx regulator and bought a moose racing one, installed it as per directions and now my kill switch doesn't work.

The regulator has 2 wires, one brown grounded to the frame and one yellow. The yellow wire is connected to the yellow power wire comming from the engine and the headlight wire is tapped into it. The negative wire for headlight is grounded to the tripple clamp.

If i disconnect the yellow wire my kill switch works.

The headlight works fine.

The kill switch does not work when the lights are on or off

Any ideas?

i bet you read those instructions wrong

the yellow PROBABLY goes to the yellow power wire and the brown goes to the headlight wire

must be the kdx is a normally cosed to ground run circuit and when you push the kill switch is opens contact to ground and shuts it off..

run the brown wire through the kill switch where it opens the regulators ground too and all should be good to go.
