kdx with xr springs

I have a 1991 kdx200

i want to change to stiffer springs i can go with
xr400 0.38kg springs 520mm length
or modern 95-05 kdx200 0.35 kg springs 470mm length

just wonder if i go with the xr springs because they are 520mm long instead of the kdx 470mm long spring when the xr springs compress will i end up with coil bind has anyone here had any problems like this/ other problems.

Aren't you around 150 pounds? If so, let me suggest that you don't buy the .35 rate springs unless they are used and CHEAP. They are not the correct rate for you, but are a lot better than what you have (if it has .30 rate springs like the USA version).

I Weigh 146 pounds and im sort of leaning towards the XR400 0.38kg springs
