I've been riding a Suzuki DR-Z 250 and 400E for a couple years and am thinking about a KDX. I'm 5 11 230 and I ride almost all tight, steep trails and only chug along pretty slow cause I'm still learning. Will the KDX be okay? And also which size kdx 200 or 220. Thanks.

I ride with a guy who had a DRZ 400 but sold it (due to some mechanical problems) and bought a 220. He is 6'2" and weighs about 255. The 220 has no problem pulling him up any hill.....and I mean steep middle Tennessee hills.

A kdx will measure up well to the bikes you mention, particularly in tight woods. The 220 is probably a bit better of a slow chugger than a 200.
