kickstart problem

i kick my kickstarter and it just makes a slipping noise and you can hear it stripping out on something. i havent ripped it apart yet because i would rather see if someone knows what this means. im thinking it means gears are either ruined or something of that matter. i dont have a manuel and would like to know if i should just start taking things apart or not, if its complicated stuff im not going to do it without a manuel. will take any advice/info, even if its a couple of words.

but for now i guess its time to master pop starting it.

Just pull the kick starter off and look to see if the teeth are worn out.(its only 1 screw..well on mine anyway)
You should definitely get a shop manuel(clymer..etc) for your bike if you plan on doing any work on it yourself. :cool:

There's a small cam that is held in place by a tiny spring that engages the kick starter. I'll bet that sping is sacked. Check that out.
