kickstart shaft

guys does anyone know if the splines are different on a 89-91 rm 125 compaared to a 01-07 pertaining to the kickstart shaft? thanks because id like to put the newer style one on my bike cuz its has the foot grips made into it.

found a parts website online and matched the part numbers for the kickstart shafts and the splines are the same. thanks.
