Kickstarter not returning to up position

I've had the bike sitting for 5 months, while it was sitting I removed the kickstarter and greased the pivot point. No big deal. I went riding today and the kickstarter didn't seem to want to return 'up' like it should, I had to pull it back up by hand. Any ideas?

Cam, first let me say that you have no right to go riding while we freeze here in the East.
Secondly, I had the same thing with my CR. My kickstart knuckle has a weep hole for excess grease to ooze out of. Once, the hole closed up with dirt with the result that there was too much grease packed into the knuckle. This slowed down the return of the lever. Especially if its cool out.

That's probably it, because I really greased the hell out of it.
I'll let ya know if it gets better...

Hey, it's not my fault you chose to live in the east!
Sunny and low 50's, I couldn't stay home! :)
Of course we paid for it today, heavy rain and low 40's...
