KLX 300 any comments?

I found a REALLY good deal on a 00 KLX 300.  Does anyone have any time with this kind of bike?  I'm looking for a good woods bike for tight trails.  I was thinking xr 250 or 400.  I just have not heard to much about these bikes.

I owned and road the KLX300 for about 1 1/2 years. Solid bike with good handling in the woods. Gearing was good for the tight stuff and helpful in hill climbs. Reved high, but not as high as say a WR250F. Brakes were also very good. Was alittle difficult to start when hot unless you did it just right. After market exhaust opened up the power big time. Over all I found this bike to be a solid value and wish I didn't sell it.
