Yesterday I crashed and hurt my knee and I'm wondering how serious it is. I laid it over in a turn and twisted my knee. It hurt at the time but I continued riding for a couple hours with only minor pain. As soon as I quit moving for a period of time it started hurting. If I don't move it for awhile I can't walk until I get it moving again. I can bend it fully and walk with only a limp after it's moving. Anyways I'm just wondering if it sounds like anything is seriously damaged and if I shoud make a trip to the doctor. I read some posts on torn this and surgery that and I'm hoping it is just a minor sprain.
My uncle did a minor thing to his knee while skiing, he skied off, but the pain persisted for a few days, so he went to the doctor. Torn Acl and MCl, never would have guessed
I've been dealing with motocross knee injuries for thirty years. And after five knee operations I'm still riding MX at fifty years old. I could not have been doing this for so long if I didn't seek Medical attention as soon as possible! No matter how small you may think your injury is, it still needs to be looked at. I'm not saying that you need an operation. What I'm trying to say is you need to at least keep good records with a professional. Your health comes FIRST!
