KTM 450SX Radiator Fan

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum, but it's great to talk to people that are as crazy about bikes as I am. I live in Florida and am going to start hare scrambles in sept.. My question to you is how effective is a radiator fan for a big KTM 450SX in FL heat. As well as, how much will it all cost? Thanks for your help.

The KTM OEM fan kit is designed for the EXC/MXC models and connects directly to the ES battery via a radiator thermostat, and therefore will not work on the SX models. It might be possible to adapt it or some other fan to run off the SX mag. Price of the OEM fan kit is around $90.

as chas m stated the fan will not work unless you change rads for the thermastat and wiring for the power. what might work for you is if you mount up the fan and run it using an on/off swith that is manualand run the power off the yellow wire.
