Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to 2 stroke stuff (done lots of 4stroke stuff though).
Well here goes, The engine I am working on is a 1987 KTM 350mxc. The motor sucked a broken spark plug electrode and beat the crap out of the head and piston. The rod seems to have alot of play in it so i am probably going to replace the whole crank and rod as an assembly. I have figured out where to get the piston, head, and a good used crank assembly. So now for the question, What else should I replace/checkout seals, bearings and ? Anything that goes out often on these motors?
The bottom end looks strong almost oversized in some respects. Any other info would be very helpfull.
Thanks
Shawn

While you're in the engine that far, go ahead and replace the main bearings and seals. I'd recommend all the seals (kickstart, c'shaft, shifter) for that matter since they are pretty cheap. If the OEM main bearings are too high $, consider going to a bearing supply house to match them up.
