KX 85 powervalve assembly question

When replacinng the powervalve assembly after a topend job, How does the linkage go. With the engine off is the powervalve open or closed and which way should the linkage be, to the front of the cyl or to the rear.

The power valve should be closed, The linkage will be towards the back of the cylinder.
