kx and kdx parts compatibility

Hey all. I picked up a 91 kx 250 with trashed cases, and now Ive found a 90 kdx 200 with a seized motar. I posed this question on the 2 stroke forum, and someone told me that the kdx and kx might interchange. Ive looked up the oem case part numbers, and they seem to be the same. Im going to look at the kdx on sunday, and of course Im going to measure the cases, but the motor is still together on the kdx and Im wanting to be sure they are the same for sure. So....my question is, does anyone know if a 91 kx 250 bottom end cases are the same as the 90 kdx 200s? Many thanks in advance.

I don't think those two motors share any common parts.

I had a '90 KDX 200 and a '91 KDX250 (based on the '88 KX250) and the cases on those two bikes were very different. I'm not aware of any cases interchanging between any year KX250 and any KDX200.

The cases are definitely different.

Hey guys thanks for the heads up. Axed even looking at the bike, would have bought it and fixed it up........its a sicness.
