I'm going to try and rebuild an '86 KX125 that's in bad shape. The person that had it before me doesn't seem to have done any significant maintenance on the bike in years. I tore it down to the frame today and am going to try and fix things piece by piece and gradually build the bike back up. I've been all over the DRN forums and the web looking for answers to these questions with no luck:
-where can I get replacement plastic (side covers, number plate, etc...)?
-what other years of this bike would be good candidates for donor parts?
-where can I get other parts for a bike this old?

Thanks for any help...

i'm afraid our old bikes are tough to shop for. . . a good dealer should be able to get you most of the parts you need (although they come at a premium) . . . . ive bought a number of things at www.bikebandit.com you get the kawasaki part numbers to order with from the www.buykawasaki.com website

good luck dude. .. . . if you come across any other good sites or places to buy let me know
