Kx85 big bore

I am wondering if anybody has had some experience with a big bore kit with an 85 (100). My son's 03 kx85 is ready for a new piston and i was thinking of going to 100cc for the extra low end power. I would appreciate anybodys feed back.

Been awhile since my son was on mini's but it seems to me that it was a fairly simple mod to bolt up a kx100 cylinder on the 85. This would allow you to return the bike to an 85 should the need arise or for selling. I don't have the time to search right now but there is info here somewhere on this modification, most likely in the mini forum.

I did it two years ago. Ya need a new piston, jug and part of the power valve needs replaced or cut for clearance. I cut ours.
