Guys the results don't show it but McGrath put in a HUGE effort. His start in the main sucked, but he rode a very hard race and was making time on RC all the way to the end. It was awesome watching him shave fractions here and there and comparing where he was each lap to the previous. The king didn't win the top spot last night but he did show that he's still got what it takes and is FAR from washed up.

Patpipes... MC will forever be the king of MX.

PERIOD.

Great to finally see Bubba win.... SO does he win the championship?

I can't wait to watch the broadcast on ESPN 2

LOL! Sorry RC has a ways to go before he is "The King". Once he does for the sport HALF what Jeremy has he MIGHT get consideration for being something besides a great rider. Go back to the freerider forum.

well, my prediction for the 125's was wrong. i knew bubba was fast, but didn't think he had the consistancy to hang with reed, guess i was wrong.

I don't think anyone can or will replace Mc as King. At least for a long time. It's not all about winning races(Mc has won his share and will win more). I'm a RC fan, but he has a long way to go before he tops Mc, on or off the track.

I have to agree with Pat, Jeremy rode a great race, making time and passing guys. He's just out there competing with guys that are damn fast so he doesn't blow away the field anymore. I don't think he's riding any slower at all. At least he's still in there fighting!

You sure about that Elk? I was watching an old rerun of MC and RC dicing it up from just last year and MC was riding completely loose. Totally different. Maybe it was some sort of observation bias, but it sure seems like he just had a bad year to me. In that same way, I don't think MC is washed up at all. For brief periods of time in races, he shows some brilliance and "looseness" of old, and I'd like to think he's just slowed down TEMPORARILY as well. I mean, he couldn't win the KTM mini race at the beginning of this season, and look at him now. Emig said it best one time about a 3rd into the season--it's going to come back slowly. And slowly it has. I too think MC could be 1,2 again. Every race. He's far from washed up.

Mac is still a fast rider but RC has made a basket
case out of him. Maybe Mac needs that new Cannondale
ride to over come the arm pump. Will Mac be cheering while
RC races the outdoor nationals? Mac has started to tick people
off with all his excuses for losing.

Really? Haven't heard that one.
Rather he wins again or not doesn't matter much at this point, he is the SX boss by a long shot. Until someone wins 7 SX seasons, he owns the crown. He doesn't have to make excuses.
