C'mon guys, besides Joe, nobody posts in here! I'm guilty too. Let's start posting ride reports, pics, whatever. I know there's a lot of NW riders on the boards. Come out of your closets--er, I mean the woodwork. Yeah. Sorry.

Anyway, where have you all been? Who's been riding where? I see a few folk on KTMtalk but I know there are more.

I just rode at Taneum last weekend. Posted a ride report in the Ride Reports Forum for those interested. I will ahve to see if I can steal pics from the guy who took them to post, there are some really cool shots of the beautiful Cascades.

I've been getting my YZ250 set up for this weekend's night enduro.

I bought a used Eline generator. I really have a Canadian spec WR250 (I just say YZ because then people don't think it's one of the old smokey WRs that were sold in the US) and since it has an external rotor flywheel it took a fair amount of machining and fettling to get everything buttoned up. I have one of those mill/drill/lathe things. I figured out that last Monday I used my mill, my lathe, my Dremel, my bench grinder and my propane torch. Ugh-Ugh very manly, yes? :aj: .

The generator has two 100w leads. I have one going to the regulator / rectifier and a small sealed 12v battery which powers the headlight. The other stays AC and goes to a helmet light connector with a regulator in parallel. The helmet lights are much brighter than the non-halogen Acerbis headlight so I will try a projector type fog light I have in lieu of the current headlight.

The output at idle is not enough to prevent dimming so I'm glad I have the DC to keep the headlight bright if I cut throttle.

My first test will be at speed. At night. I'm stupid. :yeehaw:
