Looking for a 80cc 2stroke for trail riding

14 yr old rider. 4'11", 88lb, been riding since age 7. Looking for a motocross bike to use on MIchigan trails. Lots of sand and whoops, some tight singletrack. NO racing yet. Cant decide between YZ, RM or CR looking at 1996-2000 bikes, so dont get into an argument over the new 85's please. my bro tells me to look for a bike with a wide powerband, good bottom end and good maneuverability in the tight stuff. thanks for the help

Your brother is right.

The RM 80-85 will be the best bike for that application. It has a much broader p-band than the cr or yz.

Why are you not considering a XR80 or 100 for a year or two? When you want to start racing then sell it to buy a CR or something. Xr hold there value very well better than a CR etc...

cr80 sucks inthe very low bottom end but pulls godd mid to top end power.
