lower/top end

ok i got a real problem here what do i do.. i have a engine that supposedy runs but while the top end was off gear oil was poured in the bottom end what can i do to clean it out>

yea thats what i was thinking.. but should i have to clean it out with anything before i put the top end on and try starting her.... maybe let some 2 cycle mix sit in there a lil while and empty it a few times ?

You could...won't hurt much either way. If you don't, it'll smoke quite a bit when you fire it up.

On second thought, you probably ought to flush it out...if it was sitting open to where gear lube got in there by accident, wonder what else got in there by accident?

Fill the crank case with premixed fuel before turning upside down. this will act as a solvent to cut the oil down and still leave enough good lube in there bottom end.

works good when you've dropped the bike in a water hole too!
