Magura Clutch protector

Has anyone fabricated a hydraulic clutch cover to protect where the clutch actuating arm and the cable meet? I've heard the connecting rod that pulls on the arm is very susceptable to breakage and was wondering if anyone has made a cover, if not them I will let you know how I do it when I get the thing installed, I can't be worrying about that breaking, so I'm planning on adding some piece of mind to my bike. thanks in advance,
