Hello,

My ktm60sx has a clutch problem, the clutch cable on the engine side has no adjustment, and one day after a ride I found that the lever on the clutch cover was just free moving (not connected to the clutch) so I took the cover off and found that the large centre bolt that holds the clutch on was broken. I replaced it, and put it together however now when I pull in the clutch it doesn't move the lever enough to fully disengage the clutch. The perch also has no provision for adjustment (probably worn threads) would a new cable fix my problem?

Also I didn't put any locktite on the clutch bolt, should I take it off and do that? Or will it not loosen if tightened enough?

Thank you

could be a new cable is in order. also the perch should have adjustment.

perhaps the cable has the adjustment right behind the number plate.

I cannot remember but I thought there was a small ball bearing in there to actuate the clutch. if its gone missing then you will not have enough throw to adjust the clutch. try ktmtalk.com for many ktm guru's.
