Anyone been to the race in the past? What's it like? Is it worth the trip? Is it a good race to take the family to? Any input appreciated.

It has to be the best track in the US.
Plenty of accomodations at Mamoth Mtn.
The weather is usually about mid 70's this time of year.
The scenery is awesome!
I love the drive along 395. Go for it.
