Always facing the rear sprocket when the master link is on the top of the counter shaft sprocket. Reason? Because the open end of the link is less likely to catch on anything as it is in it's forward rotation. Think of it as an airplane with the nose going forward and the wings swept back. Hope this helps.

that is... the open end of the link facing to the rear when it is on the top portion of the loop.

Biker, I can put a chain on, just can't get up that hill at Oaky Mountain!:scream:

I had a pretty good crash on one of those hills on the way over to meet up with you guys. The loop we found after yall left was alot friendlier.
