Matte black spark plug

My 04 Honda CRF230F is fouling spark plugs every 20 minutes, I've replaced the spark plug 4 times and it still seems to go matte black everytime after about 15-20 minutes of riding. Does anybody have any idea why this is doing this?

How long has it been since you cleaned your air filter?

I just put in a new air filter, and it still fouls spark plugs. The previous owner installed the power up jet kit and removed the exhaust baffle. Is the intake baffle the screen that the air filter sits over inside of the air box? He didn't remove that, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem.

It's too rich. You need to jet it correctly, not just toss whatever jets some guy tells you to run in there. Follow the instructions here.......http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?p=1340315#post1340315
