Was about to pull the trigger for a lifetime membership, but just one question.....

My present name is for my old bike. Just bought a new one this week, and of course, will want to change my name. As there is no way to change a member name, should I come up with something new before joining?

When I looked at how much advice and comedic relief I get from this site, I realized it was time to pony up and help those who have made this place possible.

Just haven't been able to come up with a catchy RM related name yet.

How about going with something more related to you, rather than your bike ?!

Say Skid-Mark … or Mark-er ! , Marki-Mark !

Stein-Mark, or is it Mark'd4life !

If I'm glad for one thing, it's that I chose a non-bike-specific screen name!

Q: What's this-> "Mark, mark".
A: A dog with a hairlip.:)

To all above,

I'm rolling on the floor! You've given me new inspiration and re"mark"able ideas. Seems safe to say that I'll be hitting the bike market often, so time to look within for my new identity. This might be scary:scream:

Same here; I'd like a new handle, too B4 signing up - other DRNers say mine doesn't fit.

I agree it should be personality- or notable-event based. Give it some time/thought, b/c it will be with you for some time.

Go on rides with the SoCa DRN community. That way we can give you some ideas based on our observations, etc.

So far 4 me others have suggested ConstantRooster, KneeCapper...:eek:

Looking forward to riding with the DRN bunch soon. Just finally got my new ride together and running 1/2 decent today, and headed out to Victorville tomorrow.

Once you guys see me ride, I'm guessing your name will be quite appropriate for me.:)

Still haven't come up with anything I love yet, but hoping tomorrow will bring a revelation. If nothing else, can't wait to get out and see how my new Suzi runs!

CB Radio lingo--

When a Trucker sees a place where a big crash happened--ya know, skid marks and smashed up guardrail etc,,, we refer to it as ---(drum roll);

"an oh sh*t mark!" :p

Because that was what the people who crashed were probably saying / thinking at that moment.

So don't crash :)
