It sounds like the HRP is the better unit with having both the foam and suspension. I've been a long time HRP user, but was interested in the Moose. The Moose does look nice and I can get one for a good price.

OUCH, I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder. I separated mine #3 level a few years ago and needed surgery. If you need some details on what to do, I'd be glad to share some rehab experiences.
Also, I don't know if Moose will repair their CP, but I know HRP would, because they fixed mine after I ripped the webbing. When they say "Lifetime Guarantee", they mean it.
One other thing about an HRP, is that they make their CP's with a sheet forming process, vs injection molding by many other CP companies. The injection molding can create a flow-knit line which can become the weak point. Answer, Moose, and MSR are three companies I know of who use injection molding.
