I will try to make this as short as poss. I bought a pair of the new Sidi boots from Motonation. I called them Tuesday and paid an extra $21 to have them shipped 3 day select via UPS. They didn't arrive on Friday so I called Motonation. They told me that when they run my card # they had to wait for an approval #. That is why my boots were not shipped on Tuesday. I was upset by this and I have never heard of an authorization # taken a whole day. I specifically told the salesman at motonations that I wanted the boots by Friday. When I called MotoN I asked them to send me another pair out Friday overnight for Saturday delivery on there bill. They told me that I would have to pay for the second pair and they would credit my card when they get the first pair back. I didn't have an extra $321 for them to hange on to for a week or so.
The rest of the story:
I called my bank and my card # was not run on Tuesday like MotoN claims. My bank told me that my card # was run on Wednesday. Has anyone else had a bad experiance with MotoN?
If they are going to make a mistake then they should try a little harder to passify a customer. Not lie and try to cover their mistake. After all if it wasn't for customers like you and I there wouldn't be a MotoN.

I still don't feel any better. :flame:

Sorry to hear about the problems getting your boots. My recent experience with Motonation was quite pleasant. When I lost my top strap on one of my boots, I called Motonation and they sent 3 of them absolutely free. They even tossed a few stickers in the envelope. :thumb:

I just sent my boots off to Motonation for repair. They have sent me straps on a few occassions at no cost and said that they would repair or replace my boots for free. For some reason, the sole started to seperate from the boot.

I had the same good experience as Lorin and Calcaneus. One of the screws on the calf adjusting system disappeared so I called them to buy some replacements. Talked to the guy, and they ended up sending a whole pack of replacement screws, no charge. Got the stickers too. Sorry to hear (read) that your experience hasn't been so hot.

Sorry to hear of your poor experience. I wear the SIDI TAE FLEX and Motonation has treated me pretty well. Free pivot clips when I lost mine in a crash (I needed one, they sent six) and they were quite pleasant about refunding my $$$ for new boots, when I decided they did not really fit well an set them back.

FWIW, I ordered some boots online about 4 months ago. 6 weeks after ordering them, nothing. I sent them an email, to which they responded "the pair I wanted just came in (or back in?)". I received the boots about a week later. lol, I think they have a slight "glitch" in their billing/shipping/receiving---sounds like their customer service is excellent. That's good to hear.

Well fellas they didn't fit and I didn't like the color I picked. Black and Grey I thought they were gray with some black. Turns out they were all black with very little grey.

I sounds to me that they have a good rep. I will chalk this up to someone droped the ball. I quess me the customer has to call the order in and then call later in the day to make sure they were sent out.

I talked with Josh in service and made sure and got an RA # and his name. For what it is worth, after sending my boots in 4 days ago (and mentioning to Josh how quickly I needed them back for Dirtweek), I received a message from Josh on my answering machine explaining that the boots had been repaired (free of charge) and were being shipped out that same day. Sidi and No-Toil have both gone to great lengths of customer service, and that is a big deal to me, not to mention, very refreshing.
