i had to post this because the Mr Who thread i posted in woulnd't come up. here's the deal, asterisk is the most guarenteed product i've ever seen. buy one, beat it to heck after four or five years, then contact Mr..betcha he sends ya the replacement parts freee. i can't say for shure because i'm not connected with the company, but i'll tell ya this. every one i know that has busted strings or used up pads through much use, gets new ones sent gratis. oh yeh, i've seen Mr at rides uprade braces free of charge too. ok, here's the deal. i am no way set up with aterisk, but i am SFC CRASH...the last ride before LBL, i took off my braces and there was a 3" scrape in the brace...deep in the brace! ok, the money spent saved me knee surgery. not opinion, fact! pm me, or email me. i'm getting nothing from asterisk, but here's the deal. if we can protect ourselves to ride more, it's good. especialy if ya ride like me :aj:

Sarge.

I totally agree with that. Asterisk is a great company to deal with. I got my braces because I was doing a little track riding and since my landing gear isn't the same as it used to be I figured it couldn't hurt to have a pair of braces.

I tried several other brands before trying the Asterisk brand and couldn't ride in any of them. Made my knees feel like they were a foot wide, had chaffing and sore areas.

When I got my Asterisk braces they dug into my lower shin bone the first couple times that I wore them. I called Billy about the problem and he said they were aware of that and were already redesigning the lower part of the brace. I sent mine back and they turned them around in a matter of days. Problem fixed. No charge.

The Asterisk braces were very adjustable to my leg and give a good feel against the bike. No chaffing or sore spots. I also noted a plus side to the braces when I went down in a high speed corner on a rocky fire road up in Big Bear. Got a big gash in the side of one of the braces. Yes, that would'a been my knee. :scream:

Last weekend I went on a short trail ride with a few local guys and decided not to wear my braces. Now I feel nekked without them.

I'm not connected with Asterisk either. I just recognize a good product and good a good company when I see it. You can't go wrong with these braces. :thumb:
