This morning I set the first rivets on the nose ribs of my Bearhawk project.

one rib down. . . 169 to go :nod:

My Grandpa, who is moving down here in about six months, he has built an RV-6 and an RV-4. :) He sold the 6, so now i have the amazing view of the back of his head! :nener: I love that plane though! Your on your way too being able to fly it though :nod: Oshkosh was crazy last summer! :yikes: :rotfl:

yep. It started it's life as a piece of sheet aluminum

Dude you have no idea. :ahhh:

I spent the better part of two hours last night measuring and setting up a jig so that I could place the stiffener angles on the center ribs. All of that set up is good for 12 ribs then I have to do a mirror image of it and do the other 12.

:think: so we have 22 center ribs with 4 stiffener angles each and two attachment angles. That's 132 angles just for those center ribs :yikes:

There's a bajillion fricken stiffeners. Sorry but that number is as close as I can get. :uh:

:think: how about this. two on each side are doubled up so in this instance 12+12 does = 22
