mx rear fender for kdx

Will a universal ufo rear fender fit on my kdx? I don't want to spend the $45 on one from FRP, pull it over on a wheelie and be out the $45. I imagine I can do some cutting and drilling to make a universal rear work, just wondering if anyone else had gone down this path before?

I put one on my '88 kdx, just drilled a few holes and it was fine. it's more rounded than the custom fit mx fenders though. I imagine you could cut it or something so that it wouldn't be. Here's a pic

What year is your bike? For the95-00s, I believe it is the 95 125 that is pretty close. There will be some slight mismatching and trimming needed, but should be a close fit.
