Hi there , I have recently had my spare 200 barrel sleeved ,bored to a 220 oh yea ported & polished as well.I have intensions of racing the bike in enduro's as well as naturaI terrian mx.My problem is ,if I go 220 is it going to perform better than the 200 and if I do go 220 I would have to race in the 250+ class would the 220 be able to keep up?

Why would you have to race in the 250+ class if your bike is still less than 250cc with or without the mod?

Edit:
I think I've discovered the reason... is it because there's a 250+ class and a 200 class, not a 250- class?

Cheers,
Tony

If you're asking if a 220 is going to be able to duke it out with say a KX250 on open terrain. I'd say you'll get smoked. But that's only based on the performance of the engine, suspension, and weight. Other than that you should do fine. If you are on tight woods or very technical terrain that requires a forgiving bike with plush suspension, try not to make your KDX too much like a motocrosser and you'll be successful.

Good luck,
Mike.
