I have a YZ250 '04 and lot of riders telling me to use higher handlebars . I'm 5'11'' tall and not experienced with M/C setup. But when I lower triple clamps, cornering is better. Of course, headshake occurs sometimes. Can I instead of rising triple clamps install higher handlebars? Now I'm using Renthal's 971 (RC replica). Any suggestions? Thanks Jarda

At 5'11" I don't see why you need tall bars or riser mounts for the triple clamps. You can try lowering the fork tubes so the tops are level with the top of the triple clamps. This makes the bike more stable. I'm 6'3" and I use low triple clamps with Windham bend bars (fairly high). I prefer the tighter cornering abilities with bars flat and just deal with the headshake if any.
