new boots+ gear

ok got my bike last week
today went out and got new boots any sug's on breaking them in they are answer e modes
also picked up some thor phase pants and jersey+gloves will put post up on how they are

:) thats what i did and it worked out pretty good ..........probably would work better on other brands , mine are tech 8's which are notorious for breaking in at the same time they are worn out. the main thing is to get them to stretch out to your foot and that is the best way i know of..........seriously :nod:

ok ty just sounded kinda fishy
right now they are tight around the top of my foot close to ankle will prob go for ride with them tommorow see how they feel
just hope i didnt jump the gun and get the wrong boots(wearing workboots isnt going to cut it anymore)

will take at least a month to get used to riding boots whether theyre broke in or not.
but well worth it. mine have saved my shins and ankles dozens of times in 2 seasons so far. last weekend i was mx'ing at a park with trails also, and while on the trail im thoroughly convinced without the boots my calf wouldve been impaled by a fallen tree branch which was snapped off perfectly sharp. scared me bad even with boots on .....but it slipped right off the hard plastic like nothing!! 1 hospital trip saved=priceless

My Tech 6's break in procedure. Put on socks, put on boots, go outside and put water hose in boots, fill boots with water, mow yard. Next day put on boots that are still wet, go to track and ride until boots are dry. Go to dirtweek and ride all day every day, come home and clean red stains from boots with simple green and pressure washer, wear boots for two more years until the soul wears through the boot and destoys side of boot, boots are almost broken in now. Tomorrow go buy new boots and start over.

Seriously, get your boots wet and wear them as long as you can. You want them to form to your feet and there's no better way to get it done than getting them wet and wearing them.

ok went riding with new gear
botts only wore for about 10 mins :bang: (read my new thread)
pants i rode all day and they never bothered me comfortable+
cool fig i would be sweating my butt off plus i found was sticking to seat more insted of sliding around
shirt was nice and cool in the florida heat

i accually just bought the same boots last weekend and is all i did was took em out on a ride and after about 20 mins of riding they losened right up

yeah they are pretty loose to begine with like i said just tight around the top of my foot
but the new boots made me realize i need new pegs and shifter see my other post so i havent really got to wear them for any length of time

well went riding today sharpened pegs and removed rubber on shifter
boots felt real nice not to tight took couple passes to get used to them but all +all not to bad
