New KDX Owner

Proud new owner of 94 KDX200. Juicy Bike. My last dirt bike was an 82 RM250. What kind of pre-mix oil do you guys suggest? Ratio? What is the oil container under the left rear fender? Sputters a bit at top of band, does that mean it is rich? Should I try one step up on main carb jet?

OIL CONTAINER?? It's the coolant overflow container.

I like Mobil 1 MX2T 40:1 'cuz its cheap!
Does not smell too bad either...
I like Redline too, but it costs about twice as much.

Don't put oil in that container under the seat ;)

I'd make sure your float level is correct, If it is too high it will run too rich. Also I'd do a WOT plug chop before you start messing with the jetting.

Could be the KIPS malfunctioning as well. Not all that uncommon on the older KDXs.
