Switching to dirt

Hey all, found this site and thought I'd sign up...looks like a great community.

Well a bit about me, I ride a street bike right now, 2004 GSX-R 600...and I'm thinking about making the switch to dirt..it looks like a lot more fun to me. I'm 22, 5'8" and 165 pounds...I would like to race in AM motocross or similar...but I have no clue where to start!

I'm a suzuki fan, but no clue on what size and type of bike to get...I am leaning towards the RM250 but if anyone has any other opinions let me know!

Have you completely filled out your info in your CP? Be sure and do so. After that grab a spot on the couch.

Yup, its waay fun.

The 250 should be good, but follow Tonys link to What Bike Should I Get. Ask lots of "well thought out questions" search on others questions and you should be able to hit the mark on your bike purchase.
